Introduction
Long and short read sequences for all C. burnetii strains sequenced in this project will be deposited and accessible at NCBI upon completion.
All sequencing is being performed by MicrobesNG (https://microbesng.com/) on whole bacterial cell pellets which have been inactivated using DNA/RNA Shield from Zymo Research.
As of October 2024, we have sequenced the genomes of >70 C. burnetii strains from across Europe and from a range of different hosts including sheep, cattle, goats and humans.
